How it Started?
While working for my clients (late 2002)Â i always think why people make websites? they must be earning from it .. offcourse they are selling some services or goods. So i started to plan out how it will work for myself.
Working on Rent-a-Coder and having a day jobs that hardly pays me $200/month i have to work arround 17hrs a day that is abit hard for a 19yrs old kid ( i was 19th at that time). I dont have much resources at that time no money to buy domain/hosting. But i have firm belive that one day i will be running my own websites that earn me money.
After spending 17 months on Rent-a-Coder i build some good clients base. To my Good luck i have got a project of hosting company from United Kingdom and i designed a site interface for him for $35 pluse life time hosting along with domain name. So first step towards my online empire. In 2004 i Henri Cook the owner of Orion-Hosting registered first domain name on my behalf.
In September 2004 my first website goes online. At that time i have no idea how to generate traffic or earn from the site expect about adsense. So i started reading webmaster forums and while doing so i came to know about DP Forums the best forums where i am still active.
So the offical start of my SEO learning start in 2005 each day is learning day for me (and i am still learning) studying, working, studying then again working i manage to get No.3 Position and No.1 Position for the most competative keywords related to my industry.
What i learned from my past experience is keep on working and dont think ever that you have suffient knowledge if you think that your competitors will win the race.
If a boy with no finical support can make fortune in the web industry then why cant you. It is just like doing the right thing at the right time. Find the niche market target your audience and keep work. SEO is slow and on goinging proccess if you have new domain name it will take some time to rank well in Google (from where all the traffic comes from).
Now i am working with FreeZone Internet (UK) as SEO consultant since i joined them their traffic bosted 300% and 200% increase in online sales. Working in such a market which is so competitive acquiring No.3 position is great achievement for me now i feel that my hard work is paying it gave me alot of confidence that the techniques i learned which works for me is also working for my client.
